Horsemanship Programs

At High Tail Acres, LLC we like to offer equine enthusiasts of all ages an opportunity to learn about horses and riding in a safe atmosphere. We offer horsemanship programs to give students a strong start to their riding careers or current riders an opportunity to refine and enhance their acquired skills.

Summer Horsemanship Programs

Summer Horsemanship Programs are offered three weeks out of the summer. They offer children ages 6-13 a variety of learning opportunities. They run from 9AM-2PM MONDAY through FRIDAY. Students ride up to twice daily and also have classroom-like theory sessions. They do hands-on activities with the horses as well as craft projects. A small horse show is held on Fridays of camp to show parents their child's' progression and to encourage sportsmanship. These are highly successful programs and fill up very quickly. Students need to bring a labeled lunch and a labeled water bottle.

Adult Wine & Ride (& Drive)

Last years Adult Wine & Ride day was a huge hit! We are offering it again in 2026. We offer spots for up to 12 adults. You will ride twice and have the opportunity to drive a horse as well. We offer snacks and beverages during camp hours. Sign up will be available soon !

School Day Off Programs and School Vacation Program

We offer the SDOP a few times a year. They run 9AM-2PM and have a similar schedule as a day of our summer programs. The holidays we hold these are Martin Luther King Day, and Columbus Day and Veteran's Day. Students need to bring a lunch and a water.

We offer the vacation Program during February vacation and Christmas vacation. We do not hold a program over April vacation. We offer two days, usually Wednesday and Thursday. We follow a similar schedule as our summer programs. Students need to bring a lunch and a water.
